WBA News: WBA receives a HOBI award for the best remodeled home under $350,000 in the State of Connecticut.

- HOBI Award - The HBA of Connecticut's Home Building Industry ("HOBI") Awards are the most prestigious awards presented in Connecticut for excellence in design, construction, sales and marketing and financing.  WBA is honored to receive the award for a whole house remodel in Woodstock.  Even more importantly, the clients are trilled with the finish project.

- Solar Hot Water -  WBA continues to advocate the use of solar panels to help provide hot water for your house.  We have just completed two installations, one in Woodstock and the other in Brooklyn.  There are federal tax credit and state incentive plans available to help offset the cost of the panels.  Give Jon Frost a call to discuss the solar options for your house.  Jon recently added his ST-1 solar contractor license to his professional credentials. 

- Geothermal Heat -  The sun is not the only source of heat.  WBA just completed a house in Ashford which uses a geothermal heating/cooling system.  Using the constant temperature of well water, we are able to provide heat and cooling for this Energy Star Home.  The key to the project, as always, is to build an energy efficient home to start.  The house was inspected by independent energy consultant after insulation and before the sheetrock to ensure the integrity of the thermal envelope. The consultant also completed a blower door test of the house. 

- Showroom - Visit our showroom at 78 Prospect Street, Woodstock to see the latest green building methods.  Our showroom includes a fully operational solar hot water heating system.
