WBA News: WBA Receives Two Awards

WBA  has received the HOBI Award for Outstanding Remodeling Project from $100,000 to $250,000 for a recently completed kitchen/family room/dining room remodeling project in Dayville.  The HOBI Awards, awarded by Home Builders Association of Connecticut, is the state’s most prestigious housing industry program, recognizing excellence in new construction, land development, remodeling, sales and marketing, and home financing. Winners are selected by a panel of HOBI judges with experience in various aspects of home building. We are pleased to receive this recognition of our work but more importantly our clients are thrilled with their new kitchen, family room and dining room.  Their home now meets the needs of their growing family. 

Solar Grant Approved

WBA was also notified by the Connecticut Clean Energy Finance & Investment Authority, that one of our solar hot water projects was approved for a $1,600 grant.  Jon Frost and WBA's plumbing staff installed solar panels on a house in Brooklyn to help meet the family's hot water demands.  This grant and the federal tax credit will bring the total cost of panels under $7,000. WBA is the only approved Solar Thermal Contractor in Northeastern Connecticut.  Grant money is very limited.  Call Jon to discuss the solar options for your house.

Planning for Spring

Current Projects

WBA is working to finish their winter projects.  The new Welcome Center for Camp Woodstock is taking shape and will be finished by mid March. This will be the 13th project that we have built for the Greater Hartford YMCA/Camp Woodstock.  Other projects that we have just finished, include a kitchen remodel and the installation of 7 Kohler whole house generators.  These clients are now ready for the next power outage.   We have also added a walk in closet to one house and wood floors to another. The two houses we have under construction are moving right along.  One will be finished with the next two weeks and we are just starting to insulate the other house.  As you can see under our Projects page, WBA enjoys doing a variety of projects.  Every project gets the same, excellent level of attention.    Let us show you how we transform your ideas into reality.
