Doug Porter
With an undergraduate degree in planning, a graduate degree in Business Administration, and certification from the Graduate Builder Program (NAHB), Graduate Remodelor (NAHB), and Aging in Place Specialist (NAHB) Programs. Doug draws on his thirty four years of construction experience to initiate and supervise your building project. As a licensed Home Improvement Contractor in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, The National Association of Home Builders and Remodeler's Council of Connecticut, your building project, be it a new home, an addition or simple deck, a kitchen remodeled, or even a post and beam barn, Doug smoothly and capably negotiates the design, specifications, and sets the work schedule. Doug works directly with you to develop a mutually agreeable budget while complying with all building codes and regulations. Doug was recently presented the Remodelers Magazine Big 50 Award, the 2003 Remodeler of the Year Award by the Hartford Home builders, and named 2003 Business Leader of the Year by Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
WBA Office/ Project Administrator
Debbie Porter and JoAnn Lussier

As office and project administrator for WBA since 1986, Debbie, on the right, not only manages the office team, she is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and coordinates the many decisions that go into your building project.
From flooring, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, siding and roofing colors, Debbie will meet with you to review your choices, coordinate the WBA team and trade contractors, and ensure that your building project remains within the contract budget and schedule.
Debbie's undergraduate degree in psychology, as well as her past work experience as an expediter, a retail store manager, and a customer service representative, provides her with a solid background in customer relations. Working within your building schedule, she will advise and guide you throughout the entire building process. You'll find working with Debbie toward your building projects completion a real pleasure.
Helping Debbie coordinate the projects is JoAnn Lussier. JoAnn is responsible for bookkeeping at WBA and has been with WBA for 12 years.
WBA Designers & Estimators
Mark Michalak, Registered Architect
Steven Keene, Architectural Designer
WBA's design and estimating staff is dedicated to assist you in the development and finalization of your project plans. The staff includes Mark Michalak and Steven Keene.
It is up to our design team to evolve your concepts and ideas into reality. The design team, headed by Mark is available to you by providing in-house design services using the latest computer aided design (CAD) software, including 3D presentations. Working directly with WBA's design staff, you will be able to get a better feel for what your building project will look like before actual construction starts. This presentation package is especially helpful when designing or remodeling a kitchen or bath.
Mark Michalak is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with a professional degree in Architecture. Mark joined WBA in August 2007. He brings over 12 years of design and technical experience to WBA. Mark is a registered architect in the State of Massachusetts. Steven Keene, just joined WBA in June, is also a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Master Degree in Architecture.

The onsite construction activities are coordinated by George and Jon with help from our lead carpenters.
George has been with WBA for 18 years. Starting as a laborer, George has worked his way through the ranks from carpenter apprentice, to carpenter to lead carpenter and now production supervisor. He has the hands on experience to make sure your project runs smoothly. Jon is in charge of the plumbing/heating area of the company but also helps George with the overall project. With 16 years experience with WBA, Jon knows what WBA clients expect at their projects.

Dave Edwards leads our framing carpenters and gets the project started on the right course. Dave has just rejoined the WBA team, after spending a year working on Martha's Vineyard while his finance finished her nursing training. WBA is pleased to have Dave back with us. George Harakaly and Henry Johnson help with the framing work.
WBA's interior finish work has been setting the standard in custom homes for over 32 years. Lead carpenter Peter Trudo sees to all the trim and finish work on your building project. Peter has been with WBA for 10 years. Our finish crew also includes Thomas Bell, Randy Reiff and Kris Tracy. They will install the interior trim, cabinets, stairs, and see to all the details of your building project so it presents a fine "fit and finish" - a WBA trademark
WBA Plumbing/ Heating
Jon Frost, Jeff Duncan & Jamie Waldron

Working as a part of the WBA team for the past 16 years, Jon, a licensed plumber in the State of Connecticut and Massachusetts, is available for a plumbing project you may have regardless of whether it is a new job or a simple repair. Bringing with him six years of experience working for Paige Company and Topper's Heating Service, Jon is well qualified to do your WBA building projects plumbing and heating requirements.
Jeff Duncan joined the WBA team in 2006. Jeff has decided to return as a licensed plumber after working as an auto mechanic for over ten years. Jeff has his plumbing contractor's license. We are pleased to have Jeff with WBA. Jamie Waldron has recently rejoined the WBA Plumbing/Heating team. Jamie is a licensed oil burner technician.
